03/25* Sustainable Quilting

  • $85.00

Class Meets:

  • 03/25: 5:30-8:00
  • 04/08: 5:30-8:00

Quilting can create a lot of scraps and waste, and as quilters we often look for ways to use those scraps but struggle. They multiply and sit waiting for inspiration. In this class we’ll learn how to piece together scraps to create “made fabric” and how to use that to make a unique quilt top that reduces waste.

Skill level: Intermediate
Skills required: Basic quilting experience required
Supplies you provide:

  • First Session: 1-2 gallon sized bag of coordinating scraps in any sized matching thread.  For example, the scraps could be:
    • All shades of a single color
    • All warm or all cool tones
    • All from one line/designer
    • A range of neutrals
  • Second Session: A quilt pattern you'd like to incorporate your "made fabric"

Instructor: Jen Sorenson
